A half day retreat

Balanced Yoga Kingston

Saturday 11th May

1pm - 5.30pm

$160 early bird by April 26th

an invitation to unwind and drop into openness, possibility, flow and rest.

Rather than thinking that self care is another thing to do or tick off the list, we believe that self care is an ongoing process of self-compassion and way of life.

We believe that nourishing the roots of your self-care is not a luxury but a necessity for a vital and healthy life.

We will offer our body and mind; dance, movement, breath and meditation.

And tend and befriend our nervous systems with the possibility of moving towards some remarkable rest.

And when you can rest, you digest.

We'll practice moving through and

feeling into the three natural survival rhythms

What are our 3 rhythms?

flight and fight

we'll practice support

rest or shutdown

 we'll practice safety

play and connection

we'll practice connection

begin with

Biodanza with Kate

the dance of life is an invitation to dance with life, to progressively awaken your 'joie de vivre' - joy of living

an invitation to experience the pleasure and enjoyment of moving with music, playfulness and connection with others

you could join in, watch, or regulate in a way that suits your energy.

you don’t need to be a dancer to enjoy this, it is natural human potential everyone can access.

rest is resilience

yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” —
The Bhagavad Gita.

The importance of self care, gentleness with yourself and others as well as variety of choices made me want to incorporate more of it into my life.
The polyvagal theory is a great instrument to reflect where you at and be more mindful of what is going on in your life.

About your retreat facilitator Kendra

Yoga, particularly meditation, has offered me a continuous, sustainable pathway towards self awakening, compassion and wellness. As a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapist, I am aware of the mental health crisis we are in, and offer retreats as a way of immersing ourselves in the 'inner calling and connection' quite often left behind in the busyness of the world.

I acknowledge and am grateful for my trauma aware teachers; Dr Stephen Porges, Deb Dana, Dr Gabor Mate, Sarah Ball, Dave Emerson, Jenn Turner, Thomas Hubel and Kathy Kain.

You are worthy of self care. Come join us.

you’ll go home with

experiences to help your relationship with self care

the feeling of being cared for and well rested

the feeling of connection with other like minded souls that value healing

an understanding of why your nervous system needs your daily attention

more empowerment to do something for yourself

We have only 16 places available on the day.

Register with full payment to secure your spot.

The trauma sensitive approach helped me feel comfortable and calm which helped clear my mind. Retreating from the everyday was a real bonus with time to reflect, to think and be still. Heartspace Retreat participant
